Expired Macro warning in MS Word

Description

Client receives the following message when attempting to open a document from SunLync that uses mail merge fields:

This file contains macros with an expired or revoked signature

This is caused by a macro security setting in MS Word itself, but is easily amended.

Instructions

This is caused by a macro security setting in MS Word itself, but is easily amended.

  1. Open MS Word
  2. Go to Tools -> Macros -> Security
  3. Click the Medium security setting and click OK (it will more than likely be set to High)
  4. Restart ALL MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

At this point, verify that the documents are now opening correctly.
